Luke 17:32. Remember Lot's wife.

Welcome to today's broadcast. As we continue in this series, we'll be looking at one of the shortest verses in The Bible and we'll be considering things to remember about Lot's wife as we're admonished in our anchor Scripture.

THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT LOT'S WIFE: Two major things.
1. DISOBEDIENCE. In Genesis 19:17, Lot and his family were instructed to escape for their lives and were commanded "not to look back"! In verse 26 of the same Genesis 19,The Bible said: But his wife looked back from behind him,and she became a pillar of salt! Terrible! Now more than 42 generations has come and gone according to Matthew 1:17,but that pillar of salt is still there till this date! If we must leave a legacy it must be positive and impacting,not a negative one. She became a "GENERATIONAL SCAPEGOAT"! It would have been better for her if she had perished alongside the sinners of Sodom than the negative reference point she has become today due to her disobedience. Remember, those who keep to instruction are far from destruction!

2. MATERIALISM. Lot was no doubt a rich fellow having followed Abraham. According to Genesis 13:5 & 6. He had flocks, and herds and tents. The land wasn't able to contain them because their substance was great. Now, a divinely purposed  destruction was looming and the man Lot was favoured to be delivered because of his link to Abraham,but his wife assumably thought on the material possessions her husband had acquired and probably thought about her jewelries, raiment, etc. She was carried away and she looked back against the instructions and she instantly became a pillar of salt. Sad story!

CONSEQUENCES OF HER ACTION.
1.Lot became a widower and was left alone with his two daughters.
2.This situation led to the most terrible incest activity recorded in Scriptures. Genesis 19:30-38. Lot impregnated his two daughters. Abomination!
3.They gave birth to Moab and Ammon: Israel's perpetual enemies. A chain of negative legacies! This will not be your portion. As we conclude this series tomorrow. Bye bye.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your Word today. Help me Lord not to leave negative legacies but enviable ones to my future generations in Jesus Matchless Name, Amen.

How God spoke to me about a teenager

More often we find the Christian crusade a religion, and people don't get to experience the real spiritual parade. A believer would spend five hours praying, assuming more time on his knees would cause God to talk. But I find religion to be the problem of relationship with God. Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. God speaks to us more often when we are not praying.
