Revelation 2:1‭, ‬4‭-‬5 KJV* When a boy and a girl falls in love with each other, they become so crazy about it and want to spend time together, send love letters, share gifts etc, and when they finally get married they become sick and tired of each other. Well, I know people do not write letters now, but in my early days we did, and I received a lot. The church at Ephesus was planted by Paul. By the time John wrote the book of Revelation Paul had been martyred and only John was left of all the Apostles....

Paul does not discourage us that's why he said "My goal is to win Christ." He was honest to say "I'm not there yet, but I'm pressing on to perfection." You can be 2% like Christ now, you don't have to be discouraged. The Apostle Peter denied Jesus, but few weeks later he was conducting a revival. God can turn a 2% believer to a 100%. We need to have faith for this. So often we use our faith for very stupid things; to buy 10 cars, get a visa out of God's plan etc. I haven't met one faith preacher that says he was using his faith to overcome sin, ...

But we can glory in that thinking we are okay, we need to strive to make progress in becoming more like Christ. A lot of Christian work in the world is clouds without rain; having a form of Godliness but without power. You see, people can organise music concerts and get thousands of people to come, but there will be no true outpouring of the Spirit because its all done in the flesh.
