Strive To Finish

*Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1 KJV*

Mhmmm, I just took a long exhale. I have been running on a difficult path, I almost fell off the cliff, but I have kept running and I think that's the point. If your path is full of cherries, watermelon and cheese, then you are still in the Olympics; you have not even started running. I hope what I'm about to say will encourage those who are patiently running to finish. If you fall a million times, and yet persevere to finish, I can guarantee you that you will see Jesus. This is for someone who has fallen a million times. I don't know if anyone here has fallen that much, maybe that's me. I can believe that for myself I don't know about you.

February is our month of Pursing After A Life That Pleases God. It means we are not there yet, but we are eager to go there. But I cannot be sure that everybody reading this wants to go there. I believe there are many Pharisees who read my messages everyday, but I also know that a few people are sincere. It's always a few people that are sincere. Jesus said those on the narrow way are very few. We must strive to go this way brothers and sisters. Don't plan to have a great February 14, plan to have a great run to a life that will please God. Don't sell your relationship with God for a few moments of candles.

*Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,   Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.   When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Luke 13:23‭-‬25 KJV*

I don't want to preach what is not true in my life. I want to make massive changes, I want to grow this month, I want to die more to self, I want to pray more, I want to care more about other people. I'm so willing to change and it's a burning desire in my heart to where I need the Holy Spirit to empower this groaning with reality. Luke 13:23-25 is so amazing. The disciples asked Jesus, "Will there be only few people that will be saved?" And Jesus responded by saying "That shouldn't be your problem, but you yourselves strive to make it", (Paraphrased). We have no business with how people are running their own lives because we want to finish our course, we want to reach the goal. We can encourage people and challenge them, but never to judge them.

Let me close by saying, I do not find so many people who are serious about reaching for the high calling in Christ. The hearts of many are already cold. I used to know many brothers and sisters that started this whole thing with us, and now they are backslidden. They make silly excuses why they won't come for the meetings, and yet they are still living in sin themselves. I will rather die pursing this life, than live never making an attempt. My goal is set. Let us pray

*Abba, Dad. We want to go this way but find no power. We desire to please you but the flesh is weak. Please give us the grace to honor you in February, and call us to this life of victory in Christ in Jesus name, Amen!*
