Entering The Promise: Understand God's Grace, and know how you can overcome

*And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.  And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you? Joshua 18:2‭-‬3 KJV*

It's a good thing to get out of Egypt, but the conflict is with entering the promise. Some people have overcome certain sins, they don't steal or gossip, but there is no joy of the Lord in their lives, they have not entered the promise. They have escaped the problems but have missed the promise. There is a promise in the New Testament that says "Sin shall not have dominion over you", see Romans 6:14. For many of us this promise is not yet true in our lives. We are not in Egypt, we got out but we are stocked in the wilderness. We are not in bondage of Pharaoh, but we are still fighting the Amorites, those sins that won't let us go.

When we open the New Testament we are spying the land, but we have not yet entered the promise. We say like the 10 spies "It's impossible to be like Christ, we are no match. We can never make it pass this wilderness." A lot of preachers claiming to walk on water, heal the sick and raise the dead have not yet entered the promise. You know Moses did signs and wonders, but he was still in the wilderness. In fact, Moses didn't even enter the promise but died at passage. Jesus has not called us to walk on water; we are called to enter His life. How did Jesus live 24/7, that's the promise of the New Testament when God will write His laws in our hearts.

*This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrews 10:16‭-‬17‭, ‬23 KJV*

It's good that all our foolish days in the wilderness God will not remember anymore. It means when we stand in judgment God will not have one record of sin in our past. This is what it means to be justified by faith, when we stand before God He sees us as if we have obeyed perfectly. Brothers and sisters lets enter this life, a life of justification 24/7. When you sin and go before God and say "Lord have mercy on me", He will say to you "Oh its okay, this is the first time you ever sinned." This is the New Covenant!

Joshua can Caleb were able to enter the promise because they said "We are well able to defeat the giants." The giant of lust, anger, fornication, disobedience, rebellion etc. When you look at your besetting sin, is that what you say? The sin that has defeated you these many years, do you lift God above it or do you exalt it above God? The 10 spies said "We are in our own eyes as grasshoppers before them." Let's go into the land and slay the giants. You see, even in the promise land there are giants. So, the temptations will still be there. Until we die we will be tempted. Congrats😂.. Well, let's pray

*Father. Thank you for opening our eyes to these truths. We are well able to possess the land. Bring us into the promise Lord, and let your name be exalt above these giants of sin, in Jesus name. Amen!*
